OUTSIDE SALES EXECUTIVE
Full-time Outside Sales Representatives at Mission Steel Fabrication are responsible for servicing and developing existing and prospective customers outside of our offices. We’re seeking professional representatives who are outgoing, driven and have the ability to work alone with little supervision. Mission Steel’s Outside Sales Representatives operate remotely and are offered a base salary with commissions based on experience. This position is for prospective sales representatives looking to service the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Responsibilities
- Service and develop potential customers
- Develop and manage your own schedule for meeting with new and existing customers at their offices, job sites, and industry events.
- Attend industry related trade shows and events
- Cold call potential customers through meetings, office visits, phone calls and emails.
- Prepare and submit sales orders
Skills & Qualifications
- Persistent, disciplined and outgoing attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to self-manage and operate with little supervision
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Valid State Drivers License and proof of insurance; The position will require local travel
- One (1) year minimum sales experience in steel, metal, construction and or machining experience required.
- 5+ years of Steel/Metal Industry experience is a major plus
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings is a plus
CNC MACHINIST
Experience Criteria

- Quick thinking, sharp and resourceful
- Good math skills
- Accurately use all tools, gauges and instruments
- Perform work in accordance with specific job work instructions
- Accurately identify casting defects to determine if part is acceptable
- Safely and correctly operate CNC machine
- Set up knowledge
- Lathe and Mill machining
EXPERIENCED LAYOUT / FITTER
Experience Criteria
- Attention to detail and must be extremely organized and committed to safety at all times
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must know how to read and interpret structural steel drawings
- Experience with overhead crane, jib hoist and forklift
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to perform precise measurements using weld gauges, tape measure, square, protractor
- Must know how to use general shop tools
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
METAL FABRICATION ESTIMATOR
Experience Criteria
- A minimum of 2 years work experience as a metal fabrication estimator
- Attention to detail and must be extremely organized and committed to safety at all times
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and staff
- Quick thinking, sharp and resourceful
- Must know how to read and interpret structural steel drawings
- Estimate cost for engineering projects
- Estimate materials or labor requirements
- Estimate time needed for project
- Ability to win jobs and work independent with minimum supervision is highly desirable
- Able to multitask and estimate numerous projects simultaneously
- Must deal well with fast-paced work flow and deadlines
